Clovers, Green Beer and the Luck of the Irish

From start to finish, Carly and Dermot’s wedding was filled with festive shamrockery and Northwest side Irish pride. They started off with vows at St. Paul of the Cross, continued on to the Chicago Riverwalk for photos and then headed over to Bottom Lounge for bagpipers and green beers. The floral and decor was a fun mix of vibrant spring flowers in bold hues of fuchsia, apple green and plum with pops of yellow. The long tables featured tall cylinder of submerged orchids and each table setting was accented with a mini box of Lucky Charms. Lyrical greenery draped over the bar and bold purple, magenta and green lanterns were suspended over the dance floor. Today, they celebrate their first anniversary. Slainte!

Dreaming of Summer in Chicago

Chicagoans live for summer in this city. As we drag through the last month or so (fingers crossed!) of winter, these images from #allisonwilliamsphotography reminded me (again) of why this city rules. Erin and Stephen said, “I do”, at chic West Loop venue Savage Smyth last July. The decor was timeless and understated in hues of white, green and purple. We especially loved their sparkler send-off with the skyline in the background.

Winter Floral Video with Crate and Barrel:

As the first month of 2019 begins to come to a close, we are looking back on some cool projects from 2018. This holiday DIY collaboration with Crate and Barrel was definitely one of our favorites. Lead designer and owner, Jessica Petty Smith, created 3 different seasonally inspired design directions featuring Crate’s vase collection and provided instruction for how to make each at home. She also talked about floral care, inspiration and adding fruits, vegetable, and seasonal greens for new textures.

If you love seasonal floral arrangements like we love seasonal floral arrangements, then we think you're going to love our DIY holiday floral tutorial. We've partnered with Jessica Smith of Anemone Chicago to create three distinct holiday looks that are completely wow-worthy but also totally doable at home.
